Inspired by legendary bartenders of the 19th century, we revisit one of the most beloved rye cocktails. This classic showcases rye’s versatility, with its signature spice delivering perfect balance to a sour cocktail.
Ingredients
- 2 parts Redemption Rye Whiskey
- ¾ parts Lemon juice
- ¾ parts Simple syrup
- ½ part Red wine (float)
- Egg white (optional)
Directions
Combine all ingredients into a shaker tin and shake with ice until chilled and diluted. Wet shake/Dry shake if using egg white. Fine strain into a chilled rocks glass with ice. Float red wine on top.
